Heidegger's Impact on the Environment
Heidegger said two major political effects. One is the connection with the Nazis which we'll talk about. The other is modern environmentalism, an attempt to return to the separate independence of the environment around us. Not just viewing it as stuff to be chopped down or not just used or turned into a machine. And Heidegger is one of the sources of that kind of understanding.
