The Rise of Ultra-Processed Foods
Chris Fantalakan is an academic at UCL and a BBC broadcaster. He says ultra-processed foods are causing obesity,. disease, and changes in our hormones. And yet, we can't stop eating them. The evidence that this food is addictive is very clear. But it's also strongly linked to anxiety depression, metabolic disease like type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease like heart attacks and strokes. It's also linked to Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and also dementia and early death. Even if you don't eat them to excess, you are still vulnerable to the effects of all the other harmful effects. Just explain what that diet looks like.
