Fear Not O Land

In verse 18, the lord became jealous for the land and took pity on his people. This is hearkening back to the covenantal promise that god made with abraham in the book of genesis. So as joel references this, he's wanting his readers to sort of look back and hear god's words echo through the scriptures.
