CNN's John Defterios traveled to Kyrgyzstan for a conference on China and Central Asia. He says he was impressed by the city of Bishkak, but also that there is more discussion about China now than six years ago. "There were Chinese companies there when I was there back in 2016 building roads and that kind of thing," said Defterios.
