I Don't Think Comedy Can Save Us
I don't think comedy can save us because I don't think there's any saving. The title of the joke is a reference to an interview that Martin Heidegger gave in the late sixties and it was only published after his death with the German magazine, Peter Spiegel. In my book, I talk about how Heidegger is maybe the only thinker in the entire tradition, the Western tradition that has no moments of comedy throughout his entire over. Maybe we should do a whole thing on Heidegger. Go.
