It took 14 years to solve the problems of building a heart double that size. That rate, it was going to take me 42 years to build a heart to even fit a kid. A year ago, I said screw this. I'm going to figure out how to automate this process. And with Dean Kamen's assistance at Army Biofab in Manchester, New Hampshire, we were able to shorten 14 years to less than a year for creating a beating, a beating, and heart.
