Is the Science Funding System a Sacrifice of Bad Assumptions?

Fundamental science has been held back by the phenomenon we discussed before, that the academic world has been a a trapped iner in a sort of sargassoseof of bad assumptions. And and we should be creating the knowledge to make the fleet of nuclear powered spaceships and all sorts of other things. I don't have a position, and official position at any university, and i'm not paid by by anybody to do research. You know, i write my books and er and i ier. Am an honorary member of various things in oxford university, but not a paid member. So i don't know how things are going. I only know the complaints that my colleagues raise,.
