The Reason Gailie Shot Herself
One theory is that the argument with her uncle was over a potential husband. She wanted to go to Vienna, so the theory goes, to get engaged to this man. Another might sound even more extreme, and it's that she was pregnant with Hitler's child. This would have been problematic for many reasons, but particularly because the two were so closely related. There are other theories that Gailie did indeed kill herself. But she didn't actually mean to kill herself.
