Elizabeth Barthollet is a Wasserstein public interest professor of law and the faculty director of Harvard Law School's Child Advocacy Program. Her primary commitment is to what? Children's welfare. She says if that child is being mistreated, at least a school teacher might pick up on it. But if they are alone at home with a violent, dangerous parent, how on earth are we going to find out to save the child?
