Wisdom and Life Are Synonymous
The writer of proverbs is setting before us wisdom and foolishness. So when moses says, i have set before thee life and death, wherefore choose life? Well, that should be an easy choice for us to make as well. And then the rest of this book, o mother wisdom will be teaching us. Chapter nine, she's still personified as a woman, but this time she's doing things that typically are associated with men. She's building a house construction, giving us a place shelter from the elements. Then she sends forth her maidens, and she invites all of us to come to the feast. That seems to be more of a motherly thing to do
