The Go to Text Automation Tool on the Mac
Zapier can convert Markdown to HTML and then create document HTML. Text expander has the ability to do fill in fields, which are in essence variables. The other thing you can do with text expander that a lot of people don't take advantage of is you can also put in the date and the clipboard. If you're going to use fill ins, you've got to run it from the iOS app on your Mac.
