Is There a Fixed Mindset in STEM?

I want the students to think critically about what they're learning. And especially in the sciences, there any place where you need to explore or experiment, making a risk can be really challenging if you have a fixed mindset. So that process, again, is sort of encouraging the growth mindset, but it's difficult for them at first. They want to know the right answer ahead of time, a lot of the time. I'm not going to grade you badly if you get it wrong. You're just supposed to try and do the best you can.
