The Extreme Regionalism of Ibn Masoud
Abu Shatah is a student of Ibn Abbas, his job at Ibn Zid. Hassan al-Bosri is the Basran school. He once said to me, in your vicinity in Basra, is Abu Shatah considered more knowledgeable, or has sinned in Basra. So, again, you see in this regionalism that sometimes even led to the criticism, not criticism, but an undermining of the extent of knowledge some Sahab had from other regions.
