Ricardo and Jesus Flores-McGone had gotten a newspaper off the ground in Mexico City. They called themselves liberals, but also became known as the Magonistas. At first, Porfirio Diaz paid little attention to what they were up to. But he has them all arrested and has the newspaper shut down.
