Island Knowledge - The Importance of Differences
i can talk about the final two aspects that we look at in terms of how we think and understand in island ways, in ways that go against or are different to a modernist framework of understanding. We want to argue that that's not really how island knowledge works. Island knowledge is derived from living in a relational context where you need to be grounded,. You need to be thinking about freed back effects in order to survive and in order to thrive. And as i have alluded to in the discussion around darwin and islands and the dynamic imminence, the liveliness of islands in creating differences, how that works. It enables us to think differently about how we might live in our contemporary
