Is This a 'Liberal' Parliament?
With parliament already having nigh absolute power, what would stop the p m and tories from usurping the power o the monarchs should britain decide to become an actual republic? I found this interested just because there are other models like, for example, new zealand and denmark, that have what's known as a unicanibal parliament. But no one would besmirch the democratic credentials of either of those countries, more democratic than this country, but they have more cheqks and balances. People find themselves clinging on to the unelected house of laws, justor any check, any checks and balances. If a republican movement wants to acty, win't gain
