The Origins of Coral Reefs

In Victorian times, there were very few fish dealers. It's not until the 80s that you can put coral in a tank sufficiently with other fish and have it survive. Coral is really high maintenance. There's not a single coral tank that's successful until the early 60s. The ability to have major tanks that you could keep fish in changed marine biology.
