There's just too many variables for me or anyone else on the outside to be able to make some kind of authoritative assessment. Since I became Attorney General, I have made clear that the Department of Justice will speak through its court filings and its work. Unlike the Mueller investigation, where there was a constant drip of information coming out about what they were doing about Trump,. throughout that entire Russia inquiry, we just don't know a lot about what the Justice Department is thinking about trying the former President.
