The Role of Focal Points in Painting
There's focal points in a given piece because the artist chose to give a certain emphasis to a visual weight. I've heard the term dominance. Would dominance be sort of under hierarchy or would it be emphasis? And it would be the same as emphasizing a strong visual way to create hierarchy. All you have to do is start looking at paintings and you'll see.
