He doesn't see himself as a business person; he sees himself primarily as someone who understood how to create world-class athletic products. A lot of the great empire makers and disruptors aren't really business people. They just want to produce a piece of magic that makes people's lives better so they're monomonically focused on releasing world-class goods.
