"We looked at the night sky for thousands of years before understanding what stars actually are," he says. "Every hypothesis, every single hypothesis that is that has any kind of legitimacy starts with an observation hypothesis might be wrong and it needs to be tested" He adds: "I'm for hypotheses and testing. But you cannot hypothesize without observation."
