I think I wrote it that way just because I do tend to explore mother-child relationships in my work. And also just because I am surrounded by strong women. It felt really organic and natural for me to go for that relationship. And also I could go into the story of the father figure as well, but not put too much of that into it. Because I do like to leave a lot out and writing and a lot of questions unanswered.
