Robin Dubart suggested that the structure of the social network, in terms of its fractal nature, is that there are three levels. Those who you're really deeply connected to have numbers between four and six. The next level includes people with whom you spend time but don't know very well. And then there's a third layer which involves acquaintances as well as close friends.
