Wage Price Spirale - What's the Difference?
Wages have not been rising very fast at all. The RBA continues to warn that the breakout of wage rises is a significant concern and that it would jeopardize what they're trying to do to curb inflation. But new data gives us a much clearer picture of what's actually happening with wages in Australia. So far from wages spiraling upwards, they're actually moderating. Meanwhile, as wage growth is well below what you might expect, the cost of living continues to rock it upwards.
