CHAPTER

Grief Is a Kind of Attention, Right?

Grief is a heightened state of emotional attention. When we feel sorrow or were attending, if you will, to a certain feature of our relationship with that deceased person their loss stings. We don't just sort of undergo it passivelyu we also engage with it, writing ou it ocor some people do this by getting help and seeking advice from others. Some have said that grief is a kind of condition of questioning. It's not an entirely a in a sort of passive condition that we just sort of endure. We shape it. Rightly age with it.
