Claudius and Messelina
Messelina lets her lovers come into the imperial palace, and she's constantly cheating on claudius. Because it's rome and the patriarchy is strong, messelina eventually loses her head. She doesn't get to be a free woman again. The story about hephestus and ares and aphrodite, to the ancient greeks would have been scandalous and hilarious. We see it recounted by homer in the odyssey.
