The Pulse of the Polish Lithuanian Empire
In Poland, there's a real sense that history, it's quite tragic because Poland was basically partitioned off the map for over 100 years. Yadaviga and her sister, Marie, were the two women in European history, two have had the title of King. She is sent off to Austria at about five years old into court or William of Austria, who's going to be her betrothed. Her father tries to set up treaties with the different rulers of Poland and Hungary to ensure that this empire will stay unified.
