The Book of Esther - Book Review

There are four main characters in the book of esther, and the story reads like a melodramatic unpacking of a crisis. Xerxes is presented as not much of a thinker, but a very good drinker. Mordecai doesn't tell anybody that he's jewish, which is so interesting. It can be read during your lunch break to get an insight into how people respond when faced with crises. And then create one at the end of the book that is still celebrated to this day. So i think the book of Esther is a great book for somebody who finds themselves in the midst of self-doubt or doubt about their faith.
