Messi is taking the shots from better positions with a higher XG per shot than the next best as well and closer to the goal. The big thing for me is that movement he does all the time is always going away from the ball. He always wants to be at the back post. And again, you see the position he finds himself with the groin. Again, it's the far post area. That's what he means. This is an ailing goal. But no one else is doing it like him is so, so efficient.
