Stephen Peklicki: Is it getting harder to cash in and more important to do the due diligence of building up right now at a time when the IPO market hasn't fully recovered? When I started out interest rates, we were borrowing money at 11 or 12%, so you're seeing corrections and prices now. He says large private equity firms are becoming more like the merchant banks of the old and branching out into debt services.
