Why I Don't Know How to Play Sudoku

A lot of people who play Sudoku, they just sort of don't include the number as an option. So I built this prototype where you could do it without counting numbers. And then as I was building this little prototype, I was like, man, I really hate counting numbers. If I get rid of this, I bet there's something cool about Sudoku. But to me, that's very confusing because you never know if you forgot to note something or if you like crossed it out intentionally.
