The Biden Plan and the US Navy
Biden's 2024 budget proposal would deal a massive blow to the already strained US Navy. By 2028, China will have about 150 more ships on the water than the US Navy. The White House wants to prematurely retire eight ships and two combat vessels by taking these ships out of action. A friend told me that there is an expectation that there will be another round of Brack-style closures in the coming years.
