Is It a Human Decision or a Computer Decision?

The algorithms that drive ranking recommendations, it's a giant spaghetti code. There are parts of it that literally no one knows how they work. The person who wrote the code left the company six years ago, left no documentation. If you turn it off, things get worse. So you just leave it running. You feel like Google gets unfairly criticized a lot for stuff like that? That's just not the case.
