Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

Is machine learning the same thing as artificial intelligence? It depends who you ask. AI was basically the early name of trying to teach a computer to do something. And machine learning is kind of a, I would say, more restricted set of problems that compare to AI. That's a big part of my personal answer to this.
