How Important Is It to Look After the Basics?

I think I have such a great understanding of what it's like to have kids. It does also show me how important it is to look after the basics. If you want to be a good father, then you have to look after those basics... exercise, good food, good sleep. All these things give you so much more. So in some ways, it's given me understanding why people don't but an increased appreciation of why you must. Especially, and things like planning. I can't just plan a weekend, it's for the moment now. It needs to be, okay, if we want to have a fun, exciting event this weekend, I've got to start doing it
