The Obstacles to Finding Slave Ships

The largest tranche of money that's ever gone into looking for shipwrecks is for Spanish galleons. Most countries don't have master historical logs of what they've got in their waters which makes it quite difficult to do. There really are very few bodies of people out there who are actively going around the world and hovering up the sea bed looking for slave ships. We're still just very young as a discipline. The scuba was only invented in 1948. It took about the 50s, 60s for Jacques Cousteau to start developing underwater vacuum cleaners to suck up. So have patience with us. We'll find more in the future, I hope.
