The Lord's House

God renews the covenant that he has made with his great-grandfather Abraham. Jacob calls the place Beth L, which means house of God, sets up a stone to mark the spot. And then we read this. Genesis 28, verses 20 to 22. This is very important. He's bargaining with God. Do you see this? If you're with me and will keep me in the way that I go and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God."
