How Long Will This Rule Delay China's Chips Independence?
In the short or medium term depending on how you define that this rule will be quite effective. History has shown uh if the u.s. maintains unilateral controls in a sector or type of items it creates an economic incentive for non-us competitors to get involved and fill that gap. The longer that this stays a unilateral control the more ineffective it becomes. i'm worried about counterproductive effects because these high tech companies need massive amounts of money from exports, unlike some of the military companies who are at one two and three percent of what they spend on rnd.
