Colin: With an objective metric alone, it's often very hard to define what good is. He says Google relies on the counterbalance, the judgment of humans to tell you. Colin: We have a few metrics where we have consistently high scores for about as good as one might do on such questions.

This week we’re joined by Ciera Jaspan and Collin Green, who lead the Engineering Productivity Research team at Google.
