The electrification of heat will require enormous investment in our electrical grid. Winter heating loads in northern climbs can exceed 5 times current peak electrical demand and we're told that they can never be delivered electrically. Even doubling the capacity of the power grid between now and 2050 presents a huge challenge but it is feasible for an engineering and economic perspective.
