The last one that I think was really interesting was JCPenney. They're running a site wide sale right now, 30% off the entire site. If you and Shopify lets you do this with Permalinks, you can go to any page on the site and the discount will be applied when you get to checkout. But seeing the discount code there and seeing the dollars that's being taken off, it's psychologically bigger than just an automatic discount that's applied.
