The Nobel Peace Prize Winner in Belarus Is Aris Poliatzky
Aris Poliatzky was a key figure in the pro-democracy movement in Belarus. He founded Yesna, an organization that documents human rights abuses and monitors elections. Mains: This is the second year in a row that we have seen a Nobel Peace Prize given to a perceived Kremlin critic. And it just so happens that this is President Vladimir Putin's 70th birthday today.
