Is There an Impetus to Intellectual Creativity?

There is an inexhaustible impetus to intellectual creativity, albeit more in the style of the poet than of the thinker. The first section that i read there was when he talks about how the greek was sort of obligated to worship, or at least acknowledge, all the gods. And this fostered a sort of sense of wholeness. To neglect one of the deities, like aphrodite, for example, would be to neglect a certain aspect of life and demean it.
