It's ok to be uncomfortable, but i want to have the conversation in spite of them. So what i recommend doing is sitting down and coming up with specific plans for what you want. Write that out, practise it, rehearse it. Maybe find a friend to roll play with. And then plan b is assuming that you don't get exactly what you want on that number one priority item,. so maybe you make up for it with one of the other things.
