Long time conservative voters and members do when they could leave the party but wouldn't know who to support. Most people vote on who they don't want to be prime minister, rather than who they do. Is it time to discuss amending sovereign immunity? We keep hearing no one should be above the law, but the monarch being above the law is baked into our constitution. What's the point of being in a monarchy if you're not above the law? Quite the answer is, get rid of the monarchy. But not just yet. I'm getting more militant in my republicanism as i get older.
