Breathing Is the Most Metabolically Active Thing We Can Do

Breathing is one of the most metabolically active things we can do. If we breathe poorly, it lends us to typical compensations such as shoulders drooping and neck straightening out. We're using that resurrective type physical breath that we teach so that when you're not paying attention to it, the initiation happens just enough to keep muscular strength occurring. It might look a little awkward, but ifif you know really good dancers there's a slight more rhythm and flow in every movement they do.
