The Importance of Charity
A football game in Turkey encouraged fans to throw stuffed toys onto the pitch at half time. The video went viral and was widely praised as a 'wonderful example' of generosity. But Peter says he thinks it's an ineffective way for wealthy middle class people to help poor children who lost their homes or were left homeless by earthquake. He believes that many charities are run on sentimentality rather than real desire to make an impact.
