Research shows that with minimal training, rate of perceived exertion is the most accurate indicator for how some one feels. But just because you feel great doesn't mean that what's going on under the hood is great. In groundedness, i write, you don't have to feel good to get going. You have to get going to feel good. And then we have the chance of feeling good, we increase our chances of feeling good. Now does this mean that you ought to box yourself and push really hard if you feel like crap all the time? That's a sure fire way to burn out.
