CRISPR-Cas: A Gene Therapy Machine

In 2020, the Nobel Prize for Chemistry was given to two of the pioneers. Emmanuel Schappentier and Jennifer Doudna at UC Berkeley discovered that this machine could be used to edit genes. In nature CRISPR-Cas is used by bacteria to defend themselves against viruses. And they get vaccinated as well in a way that I won't have a chance to get into.
