How Did You Come Up With the Idea for the Titan?
In the mid 90s, I moved to Stimbo Springs, Colorado from California where I lived for a long time and I had a medical device business there which we had sold. The idea came kind of simply to me that the way that shoelaces work is a good way to solve any kind of problem. You start down by the toe and you pull the lace as tight as you think you want it. When you let go some of it loosens up a little bit. There's some friction intentionally built into the laces so you don't lose all the tension. Most of our laces now are really flexible metal cables called hydrangeas.
